Véhicule Marine: Hyperflats Boat (2018–2020)
Studio Kippenberger has developed and reimagined the tried and true flats boat — a Floridian design originally conceived for lurking the state’s shallow lakes without running aground.
As fishing vessels, flats boats traditionally have fore and aft casting platforms as well as an additional platform to stand on while pushing the boat around with a pole.
VÉHICULE Marine started with a 19-foot Lake and Bay platform. These boats are usually paired with 90-horsepower engines (115-horsepower ones for the hardcore people out there, 150 for those with nothing to lose)—Studio Kippenberger’s inaugural creation delivers 300 horsepower using a Mercury Racing V8 motor.
